Review of Disney Plus: Traitor (Season 1) [AKA. Reetur S01 in Hindi] :

Something like this might happen for real. Story is engaging, plot thickens as events start to happen faster. Intresting sound track, quite good actually. A well made production. Interesting to see how actions of few may affect other people.

This stands alone as a good yarn about spying in post war Britain, the storyline is interesting and the acting throughout is excellent. I am a little surprised at the low ratings it gets but I’m guessing it does not contain the action which many people seem to crave these days. Instead of this, the drama demands your attention and makes the viewer think about the issues it raises. The cynical viewer who wants endless action should watch pieces containing Jason Statham.

Is this supposed to be a comedy? the only good thing which can be said about this series is that the period clothing and furnishings were spot on and conveyed the dreariness of post war Britain. Storywise, it came across as an convincing parody of spy thrillers.

I must confess that I cam getting mighty tired of episodic TV endlessly dragged out and with a cliff hanger ending hoping that the series will get picked up for a second and further seasons. If the Netflix selection team actually watch programs like this, rather than just accepting them based on a synopsis, I feel really sorry for them.
